Rev. David H. Nunnally, Sr.
Awarded in honor of our founder, Rev. David H. Nunnally, Sr., the founder (1979) and first president of the Athens Area Human Relations Council (AAHRC). Rev. Nunnally strongly believed in community service, equal justice, economic advancement and human rights in the non-violent spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Beloved Community. The Founder’s Scholarship seeks to award students who have demonstrated a spirit of human relations and a commitment to community service.
