For more than 45 years, the AAHRC has sought to uplift and enrich the lives of the youth in our community. Each year, in keeping with those efforts, we award scholarships to local high-school seniors to aid in their quest to attend college.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a high school senior
• Must attend a high school in one of the following counties: Clarke, Madison, Oglethorpe, or Oconee

Application Requirements

• A completed application
• 400 - 500 word essay
• 2 recommendations
• transcript
  

2026-2027 Scholarship Season

This year the AAHRC has established a scholarship portal and all documents and supporting material must be uploaded into the portal.  Students may create a username and password to complete the application online at their leisure.  No documents or supporting information will be accepted by postal mail or e-mail.  The physical application that students are able to download below is only intended as a guide so that students will know what questions will be asked in the portal.  The scholarship portal will open on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.  Students are encouraged to go ahead and begin working on their essays.  Please send all questions or concerns to scholarships@humanrelationscouncil.org or you may contact us by phone at (706) 546-6799.
